sept hols

it's the sept hols. again. (stating the obvious)

the september hols are the oddest. for a start, a one-week token holiday is not healthy. it breaks your focus on work. that's bad cos the EOYs are coming.

sept hols are also an excuse for all teachers to give odd assignments. they aren't so bad this year, but we have two phys assignmentS - an article review and a magnetic-propulsion ship project thingy. oww. and a chem reflection ws on "any activity you took part in during the hols."

the oddest thing about these sept hols is that these are almost the last hols in RI. that's an odd feeling. in sec 1 you wish you were in sec 4 and could bully the juniors. and suddenly you're in sec 4 with all its responsibilities and you're using the i'm-doing-this-for-your-own-good excuse on them. in other words you become a total fossil - and you really believe in it. of course many of us don't think that way. good for them; they don't have to deal with the pain of leaving.

good that it's finally 4+ months to end of sec 4 and start of JC life (with all its joys ;P) and really saddening that it's the last term at RI. well well well.
