miscellaneous thoughts
hey I don't understand this... every time i have a YO rhsl i feel so good afterwards... but after any RISE rhsl i'm soooo pissed with the world. YO is such an uber-funky place haha
Anyway so we had this awful photo-shoot thingy before the rhsl. lol it was lame... the photographer was v.lame. but during the photoshoot i realised something. Singapore is actually quite beautiful, if you look around VCH, and along the river. Esp. when the trees are in flower (like now) its quite cool. Even the bird shit hardly ever hits pple in Singapore. Like when we were getting ready for another photo... this white blob came crashing down from the heavens. Someone said something like "oi who threw this" and then we looked at the floor and (ouch) its fresh bird droppings. it was like in the middle of the crowd... and that blob managed to get to the floor... Singaporean birds are pro.
and then we had dinner break which was 20 mins. i think everyone was pissed, but mostly in a good-natured sort of way. shanghui and i ran to BK at raffles city and ate on the way back... got back in half an hour. they started rhsl about 5-10 mins after we got back.
rhsl is fun... i can play the cello solo in poet and peasant haha (including the high C#!) funny, every time i spell "peasant" i actually type "pheasant" then realise it and go back to delete the aitch. anyway... there's a kind of feeling you get when you make good music. a kind of feel-good feeling. some feeling of... i don't know really. anyway mr lim is a good conductor, and great person, and loves to tell stories haha.
tmrw is mr leong's farewell party from RISE. which is kind of sad, because mr leong is also a great teacher. i guess in last year's RE we got away with a lot more things than we should have last year (like carrom)... RIMEP and RISE really owes a lot to him. with all the things like sec1 orientation camp being held in sch for the first time in like 5 years, and new HM, and mr leong leaving, and RP and all, its like an end of an era. an era when RIMEP was run by mr leong, and we had lots of NMAs, and throughout at least the first month the sec 1s would stop in front of you and chorus "One two three GOOD MORNING SENIORS" *lots of nostalgia here*
i suppose getting ms goh as our RE mentor this year is a mixed blessing... she's a lot more sticky regarding timetables. which makes everyone nostalgic about last year's marathon carrom sessions but it kind of makes JX work. lol.
anyway that's it for today because it's almost tmrw now.
why do we need titles for blog entries? it's kind of stupid sticking a title to everything. what would i call this post? "uber-funky"? "happy sad and everything in between?" comments on my tag-board PLEASE. and not in the comment for this post
