The Age of Moaning
This is the age of moaning.
People look at their miserable, crappy, rainy lives and think "I must be the saddest little fool that ever set foot on this earth." Then they get really convinced that that's really the case. and then they are so convinced that they start to show it. painfully. and then some of them become really sad little creeps who are a pain, both for themselves and for other people. you can check some blogs, especially those with plenty of angsty entries going Why is person X so popular? Why can't I do activity Y better? Why am I on this freaking planet anyway?
Take iggie. (hi iggie.) He doesn't do his hw. A most noble achievement. Then the teachers chase after him, and then he starts saying that he's completely bogged down with work and stuff. And then he starts groaning about how the teachers hate him. And how the work hates him. And he spends so much time groaning that he doesn't really do much of the work. many pple are like him too, just that they don't admit it. he'll probably deny it on my tag-board later. :P
Take people in my class. Most of them aren't really bothered with hw in the first place. But they used to get, well, most of it done. Now, they are so caught up with proving that they don't give a hoot about school, that they leave their work undone. And then they go play more comp games and its not about themselves being unable to do their work any more, its about them wanting to look more miserable, more pressed for time, more rushed, more harried, more harrassed, more in-motion, more funky than everyone else.
The new cult isn't about music, or science, or encounters around lockers - it's about constantly doing something so that you're totally out of time. And moaning about it to everyone else so that they know you're out of time and they'd feel ashamed of having time to spare.
I have time to spare. I slept at 10 last night. Go on, lynch me, all you dota/GB freaks - coz I'm a mugger. Whee!
